Marion Davies (1897-1961) was an American stage and film actress. The Marion Davies papers date from 1915 to 1928 and document her early stage and film performances as well as her social activities with incoming correspondence, photographs, and clippings. Incoming correspondence is primarily fan mail, with several telegrams congratulating Davies on her performance in the 1923 film
Little Old New York. Correspondence also discusses the efforts of Cosmopolitan Productions to promote Davies's work and stature as a celebrity.
